Scientific Board Report and Project Response 6 - 14 - 05

The Scientific Advisory Board reflects the same excitement as others associated with the RiceCAP program in preparing the path for the application of genomics to rice breeding, and especially toward two traits (milling yield and sheath blight resistance) important to the U.S. rice industry. We are impressed with the fact that the participants represent many of the best scientists in the field of plant breeding and genomics. We believe that bringing together such a talented group of scientists and educators will lead to success. The thought process that has already ensued provides a solid base for action.
